Senior Failure Analysis Engineer

About the role

Monolithic Power Systems is seeking a Senior Failure Analysis Engineer to investigate and resolve issues in integrated circuit (IC) development and production. You will apply electrical and physical failure analysis techniques to identify root causes and support product reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bench testing and verification of failure modes in production ICs.
• Utilize EFA (electrical failure analysis) and PFA (physical failure analysis) tools to uncover root causes.
• Prepare professional failure analysis reports and present findings to internal teams and customers.
• Collaborate with designers, factories, and customers to define corrective actions and verify DOE plans.
• Continuously study new IC technologies, topologies, packages, and advanced failure analysis methods.

Required profile

• MS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Micro‑Electronic Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuits such as voltage regulators, op‑amps, CMOS logic, SR latch, D‑flip‑flop.
• Understanding of device physics and IC manufacturing processes; assembly and bumping process knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent problem‑solving, organization, and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent verbal and written communication in English.
