Director, Category Growth Marketing

About the role

Coupang is looking for a Director, Category Growth Marketing in Taipei to define and execute the long-term growth strategy for key business categories. The role drives sustainable revenue growth, customer acquisition and retention, and market expansion, working closely with Product, Sales, Merchandising, Finance, Analytics and Executive Leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own the multi-year growth strategy for priority categories, including revenue, profitability, customer growth and market share
• Lead growth marketing across acquisition, engagement, retention, loyalty and lifecycle programs, and partner with channel marketing teams
• Allocate marketing budgets to maximise ROI and drive demand generation
• Use data analytics and customer insights to shape go-to-market plans and category strategies
• Partner with Product, Commercial, Merchandising, Operations, Analytics, Finance and Sales leaders, and support product launches and seasonal campaigns
• Set category performance frameworks, KPIs and reporting, and present business reviews to executive leadership
• Build and lead a high-performing category growth marketing team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Analytics or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in Growth Marketing, Category Management, Product Marketing, Commercial Strategy, E-commerce or related fields
• 5+ years leading high-performing teams
• Demonstrated success driving revenue growth and large-scale marketing programs
• Preferred: MBA or advanced degree, e-commerce or marketplace experience, and experience managing multimillion-dollar marketing budgets

Required skills

• Strong use of data and analytics for decision-making
• Knowledge of customer acquisition, CRM, lifecycle marketing, loyalty and retention programs
• Familiarity with advanced analytics tools such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics (preferred)
