Supply Chain Manager – New Product Introduction (NPI)

About the role

As a Supply Chain Manager you will own end‑to‑end material readiness for New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes, from early development builds (xVT) through to mass production. You will work closely with engineering, operations, procurement and contract manufacturers to ensure the right components are available on time and to mitigate supply risks.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute material readiness strategy across all NPI phases, aligning material plans with program schedules and build requirements.
• Drive purchase order creation, tracking and delivery, ensuring on‑time availability for builds and ramp‑up.
• Identify supply‑chain risks such as long‑lead‑time components, design changes or capacity constraints and develop mitigation plans including alternate sourcing, risk buys and inventory adjustments.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for material readiness, providing regular status updates, risk reports and recovery plans to engineering, program management and leadership.
• Manage NPI inventory, including excess and obsolescence, to minimise financial exposure while balancing supply and demand.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives, building scalable tools, dashboards and standardised processes to increase visibility and predictability.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, supply‑chain or inventory management.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence decisions with data‑driven insights.
• Strong analytical skills and experience managing material risks in a fast‑paced, product‑development environment.
