Senior Engineer – Rolling Stock & Depot Equipment

About the role

Lead the design, technical studies, and management of railway system projects, focusing on rolling stock and depot equipment for SYSTRA Taiwan. You will ensure engineering specifications, standards, and procedures are applied throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, technical studies, and overall management of rolling stock and depot equipment projects.
• Develop, review, and enforce engineering specifications, standards, and procedures for railway system design and construction.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulations.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges, optimizing solutions to meet budget and schedule constraints.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout project planning, execution, and delivery.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers to foster professional development and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in rolling stock design or railway systems.
• Strong knowledge of rolling stock systems, depot equipment, railway engineering principles, and industry standards.
• Proven experience in project management, technical problem‑solving, and multi‑disciplinary coordination.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Professional engineering license or certification preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese (written and spoken).
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
