Senior Cost Accountant

About the role

Supermicro is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to support inventory evaluation, cost analysis, and financial reporting for server and component products. The role works closely with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced, global environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support inventory valuation and cost analysis for server, system, and component products.
• Maintain Bill of Materials (BOM), component costs, and ensure pricing consistency.
• Prepare cost reports, margin analysis, and data summaries for management review.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Sales, Operations, Logistics, and Finance to support daily operations.
• Monitor inventory, standard costs, and cost variances to ensure data accuracy.
• Assist with month‑end closing activities related to inventory and cost accounting.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and cost control.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cost analysis, inventory management, or related areas (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across teams.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to thrive in a fast‑growing environment.
• Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Basic data analysis capabilities.
