Product Lead Counsel

About the role

Binance is seeking a senior legal professional to lead product‑related regulatory and compliance matters worldwide. The Product Lead Counsel will guide product teams from concept through launch and ongoing operation, ensuring that Binance’s diverse digital‑asset offerings meet global legal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide regulatory and legal guidance across the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing operations.
• Advise product teams on the regulatory impact of new features, enhancements, and market expansions across jurisdictions.
• Lead assessment and mitigation of regulatory risks for spot and derivatives trading, payments, digital assets and emerging verticals.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, compliance, risk and business development to embed legal considerations into product development.
• Build and maintain scalable product compliance frameworks and controls for diverse regulatory environments.
• Participate in product governance forums, balancing compliance with business objectives and user needs.
• Engage with regulators and external counsel on product‑related matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Monitor global regulatory developments and translate them into actionable guidance for product and business teams.
• Conduct cross‑functional workshops and training to raise regulatory awareness throughout the organization.

Required profile

• Qualified to practice law in a leading jurisdiction with extensive international regulatory experience.
• 10+ years in regulatory legal roles, preferably in‑house within technology, financial services or cryptocurrency firms.
• Deep knowledge of global financial product regulation, including spot and derivatives trading, payment systems and digital assets.
• Proven ability to work closely with product and engineering teams to influence product decisions.
• Experience managing complex compliance matters and engaging regulators across multiple jurisdictions.
• Track record of leading and scaling legal teams regionally.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
• Pragmatic, solutions‑oriented business acumen and deep understanding of the cryptocurrency regulatory landscape.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
