About the role
EY is seeking a Legal Manager for the Core Services Legal Advisory department. The role involves managing and reviewing commercial agreements, providing proactive legal advice, and supporting various business units.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and review engagement and other commercial agreements.
- Draft and negotiate engagement documentation with clients.
- Provide timely, proactive legal advice to service lines and management.
- Advise on legal and regulatory risks associated with engagements.
- Develop and maintain standard contract templates.
- Collaborate with the Compliance team to ensure adherence to new laws and regulations.
Required profile
- University law degree.
- Minimum 5 years post‑qualification legal experience, preferably in an international law firm and in‑house within a financial services organization.
- Qualified attorney through the national bar examination.
- Fluency in English and Chinese.
- Strong commercial awareness, corporate governance and regulatory knowledge.
- Excellent drafting, analytical and project‑management skills.
