Legal & Compliance Counsel

About the role

Appier is seeking a Legal & Compliance Counsel to manage corporate legal affairs and ensure regulatory compliance across its AI‑driven products. The role requires strong proficiency in Japanese and Mandarin, with business‑level English preferred, and will work closely with product, commercial, and global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with global colleagues to provide accurate legal guidance for commercial activities.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to sales, vendors, partners, licensing, and marketing, primarily in Japanese.
• Streamline corporate legal procedures and processes.
• Research and advise on legal issues affecting the AdTech/MarTech business, including privacy, AI, and advertising standards.
• Own product‑facing regulatory compliance across privacy, AI, and IAB advertising standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Law (LL.B) degree.
• Minimum 1 year of legal experience at a law firm or in‑house, using Japanese as a working language.
• Open‑minded, ambitious, and direct communicator.
• Interest in AdTech or MarTech industries and willingness to stay updated on evolving regulations.
