Principal Legal Counsel – Logistics

About the role

Coupang is expanding its logistics footprint in Taiwan and seeks a senior legal professional to guide the legal and regulatory aspects of this growth. As Principal Legal Counsel for Logistics, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure that all logistics initiatives comply with Taiwanese law and align with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments affecting transportation, labor, and related logistics areas in Taiwan.
• Provide legal advice on new service models, operational enhancements, and strategic partnerships.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and amend contracts for fulfillment centers, carrier services, procurement, insurance, and other logistics agreements.
• Manage dispute resolution for logistics transactions, conducting fact‑finding, legal analysis, and recommending counter‑measures.
• Support governance and compliance initiatives, helping to build and maintain robust compliance frameworks.
• Offer general legal counsel to stakeholders across compliance, government relations, and operations.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with a strong background in logistics, transportation, or related commercial law.
• Demonstrated experience advising on complex contracts and regulatory matters.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and communicate legal implications clearly to non‑legal teams.
