Head of Market HR (English & Mandarin) – Taiwan

About the role

Google’s People Operations team is looking for a senior HR leader to drive the people strategy for the Taiwan market. Reporting into regional HR, you will partner with business leaders to shape talent, performance, and development initiatives while ensuring compliance with local employment laws.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and implement large‑scale HR projects, including change management, business readiness, communications, and capability building.
• Provide strategic HR business partnership to senior leaders, influencing talent, performance, and development decisions.
• Manage employee and labour relations, ensuring alignment with Taiwan’s employment regulations.
• Collaborate with APAC People Operations to deliver a consistent “One Google” experience across the region.
• Act as a trusted advisor on cultural, talent, and risk‑mitigation matters specific to the Taiwan market.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 15 years of HR business partner or generalist experience.
• At least 12 years in HR leadership roles within global, multinational companies.
• 7 years of people‑management experience.
• Deep knowledge of Taiwan employment laws and experience working with external labour bodies.
• Fluent communication in English and Mandarin.
