Financial Accountant – Retail

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Financial Accountant to join Coupang’s Retail team in Taiwan. The role will support revenue and inventory accounting, ensuring accurate cost recognition, invoice processing and compliance with group policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage timeliness and accuracy of inventory cost recognition and conduct multi‑dimensional cost analysis.
• Execute end‑to‑end procure‑to‑pay processes, including AP approval, invoice validation, vendor settlement and payment term review.
• Identify process gaps, redesign workflows, and create SOPs, guidelines and training materials to improve efficiency and user experience.
• Collaborate with IT on system development requests, support solution design, testing and data validation for accounting‑related projects.
• Ensure transaction records comply with accounting standards, tax and regulatory requirements, and assist with internal control documentation.
• Facilitate month‑end closing, prepare financial statement packages and respond to auditor, tax authority and regulator inquiries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in accounting, audit or tax, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
