Finance AI Data Scientist

About the role

Binance is seeking a Finance AI Data Scientist to drive user‑facing financial AI and equity research solutions. You will combine large language models, natural language processing, machine learning, and reinforcement learning to improve query understanding, entity recognition, and information retrieval for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Identify high‑value financial data algorithm problems and evaluate in‑house versus external solutions.
• Design, train, evaluate, and optimize algorithms for query understanding, document processing, entity linking, event detection, and quality scoring.
• Develop multi‑channel retrieval, relevance modeling, and financial ranking algorithms that balance relevance, timeliness, authority, and other domain‑specific signals.
• Build training datasets, labeling pipelines, and evaluation benchmarks for market data, earnings reports, news, and licensed research.
• Choose and fine‑tune appropriate methods—including large language models, NLP models, multimodal models, graph algorithms, traditional ML, or rule‑based approaches.
• Collaborate with Financial AI Engineers to integrate algorithms into a unified knowledge processing pipeline and deploy them to production.
• Apply supervised fine‑tuning, reinforcement learning, and other optimization techniques to continuously improve system performance.

Required profile

• Strong background in AI/ML applied to financial data and user‑facing applications.
• Experience owning the full lifecycle of model development from problem definition to production evaluation.
• Ability to work with large, heterogeneous financial datasets and address bias, label noise, and market dynamics.
• Proven collaboration skills with engineering teams to deliver reliable production systems.
