Software Applications Engineer – Technical Support

About the role

KLA is seeking a Software Applications Engineer to provide first‑line technical support for its Frontline software solutions used in PCB manufacturing. The role combines customer‑facing support with collaboration across sales, product, and R&D teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide installation, configuration, version upgrades, troubleshooting, maintenance and issue resolution for Frontline software.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customers, ensuring timely responses and high satisfaction.
• Document, track and escalate complex technical issues and product enhancement requests.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Marketing and R&D to support onboarding, demonstrations and product improvements.
• Deliver technical presentations, customer training and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Travel to regional sites to provide on‑site support as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with 2‑5 years of PCB‑related work experience.
• At least 2 years of CAM or MI experience in the PCB industry.
• Familiarity with Frontline InPlan/InFlow or InCAMPro is a major plus.
• Proven experience in technical support or software troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of software installation, configuration and maintenance.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑first mindset.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple priorities.
• Good English proficiency (reading, writing, listening, speaking).
