Data Architect – Cloud Native & Kubernetes

About the role

The Infrastructure and Platform Engineering Department (IPED) within TSMC’s Intelligent Manufacturing Center focuses on system stability and developer productivity. As a Data Architect you will help design and operate cloud‑native architectures based on Kubernetes to support smart manufacturing and DevOps initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud‑native data platforms built on Kubernetes (K8S) architecture, ensuring scalability and reliability for manufacturing workloads.
• Continuously monitor system performance, analyze metrics and user feedback, and fine‑tune configurations to achieve optimal throughput and low latency.
• Partner closely with internal development teams to evaluate, pilot, and integrate new tools that improve productivity and streamline workflows.
• Lead proof‑of‑concept (POC) initiatives, provide technical guidance, and support teams during the implementation of cloud solutions.

Required profile

• Hold a Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated hands‑on experience with programming languages such as Python and React, and a solid track record of deploying and optimizing Kubernetes environments.
• Commit to the on‑call rotation schedule (one week every three months) and be prepared to troubleshoot production incidents remotely when required.
