IT Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a team member with a solid foundation in computer and server concepts and a genuine passion for IT infrastructure and virtualization technologies. In this role you will support senior engineers in managing VMware and Proxmox VE farms, server operating systems, and day‑to‑day network operations. It is a hands‑on learning opportunity that provides exposure to enterprise‑grade data‑center architecture and automated workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily creation, monitoring, resource allocation, and snapshot management of virtual machines on VMware (ESXi / vCenter) and Proxmox VE.
• Support routine maintenance, security patching, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting of Windows and Linux servers.
• Help resolve basic network connectivity issues, maintain IP planning records, and perform status checks and maintenance of switches and VLANs.
• Perform system health checks, verify backup status, filter alert events and report anomalies.
• Maintain the IT equipment inventory and keep architecture diagrams and SOP documents up to date.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of relevant IT experience (or recent graduate with strong self‑learning ability).
• Hands‑on experience or exposure to VMware vSphere, Proxmox VE, or similar virtualization platforms.
• Understanding of computer hardware architecture, BIOS/UEFI, RAID configuration and basic server concepts.
• Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, Rocky Linux) command‑line operations.
• Basic grasp of networking concepts such as IP subnetting, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching.
• Strong problem‑solving logic, resilience under pressure and curiosity about new technologies.
