Director of Generative AI, ML & Data Analytics (Engineering)

About the role

The Director of Generative AI, ML & Data Analytics will shape the vision, strategy and execution of enterprise‑scale AI, machine learning and data analytics initiatives across Qualcomm's engineering organization. This senior leader will drive the development of scalable AI/ML platforms, data ecosystems and governance frameworks that boost engineering productivity and enable data‑driven innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement long‑term global roadmaps for AI platforms, analytics frameworks, data ecosystems and software tooling.
• Lead large‑scale transformations involving AI, machine learning, data management, governance and automation.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, IT, quality, reliability and business groups to turn data into actionable insights.
• Establish governance models, policies and standards for data quality, security, responsible AI and compliance.
• Communicate complex technical and business concepts to executives, partners and engineering teams.
• Influence global organizational strategy and technology direction through data‑driven insights.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading AI/ML and data analytics initiatives at enterprise scale.
• Strong track record of influencing senior leadership and driving cross‑functional transformation.
• Excellent strategic thinking, systems‑level problem solving and ability to operate with minimal oversight.
• Demonstrated ability to define governance frameworks and ensure compliance with security and ethical standards.
