Associate Accounting Specialist – Taiwan

About the role

Dow is hiring an Associate Accounting Specialist to serve as the Entity Accounting Leader for a Taiwan legal entity. The role blends financial reporting, data analysis and cross‑functional coordination within a global materials science company.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly closing activities within statutory reporting timelines.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly and year‑end close.
• Maintain integrity of financial statements under US GAAP and PRC GAAP.
• Coordinate cross‑functional processes, account reconciliations and act as focal point for tax, audits and regulatory filings.
• Interface with external auditors and support filings to government authorities.
• Monitor internal controls and remediate gaps.
• Undertake ad‑hoc projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of finance experience in a multinational corporation, accounting firm or similar environment.
• Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge of tax regulations is a plus.
• Ability to work under reasonable pressure, detail‑oriented and a good team player.

Required skills

• Practical experience with SAP accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills, including analytics and pivot tables.
• Quantitative data‑analysis methods and ability to translate large data sets into actionable information.
