Supplier Quality Engineering Manager – Material Ship Direct & Balance of Plant

About the role

At GE Vernova, the Supplier Quality Engineering Manager for Material Ship Direct (MSD) and Balance of Plant (BOP) leads the technical authority at the intersection of supplier quality, engineering and sourcing across the Asia‑Pacific region. The role embeds quality excellence into supplier processes from qualification through delivery, with a strong focus on Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) and overall supply‑chain performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own regional NDT/NDE leadership, develop and approve procedures, and coach Level I‑II NDT personnel.
• Drive supplier qualification, audits, FAT, PSI, surveillance and final shipment release approvals.
• Lead systemic problem‑solving for top‑offender suppliers, manage RCA, RCI, SDRs and NCRs, and implement CAPA.
• Ensure compliance with GE Vernova, ASME, AWS, ASTM, ISO and ASNT standards across the supplier base.
• Prepare Quality Documentation, Quality Control Plans and Inspection & Test Plans, and support PFMEA activities.

Required profile

• Supplier‑quality professional with deep NDT/NDE expertise and proven results in multi‑region supply chains.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials or Quality Engineering or equivalent experience.
• ASNT Level III or ISO 9712 Level III certification in applicable NDT methods (MT, PT, UT, RT, VT); at least two methods at Level III.
• Significant experience in NDT procedure development, personnel qualification, supplier auditing and technical evaluation.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % of the time, primarily within APAC, and professional proficiency in English.

• ASNT Level III / ISO 9712 Level III certification.
• ASME (Section V, Section VIII Div 1 & 2, B31.1), AWS D1.1, ASTM and ISO standards.
• FMEA, PFMEA, 8‑D problem‑solving, Root‑Cause Analysis and CAPA.
• Supplier auditing, NDT procedure development, technical evaluation.
