Senior Project Manager

About the role

Join Hitachi Energy as a Senior Project Manager to lead complex power‑engineering projects and drive business growth. You will work in a global environment, overseeing substation projects, managing risks, contracts and supplier relationships while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project teams, define guidelines, allocate tasks and monitor internal and external resources to meet milestones.
• Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, financials, schedule and risk management in collaboration with Project Controls.
• Monitor project progress, financials, invoicing, cost, cash flow and ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy policies.
• Identify, assess and manage project risks and opportunities, capture lessons learned and drive formal project close‑out.
• Coordinate procurement and supplier negotiations, support contract and claim management, and act as primary customer contact.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field of power engineering is a plus) and at least 5 years of experience in the electrical power engineering industry.
• Proven experience leading substation projects and managing project‑level financials, risks and contracts.
• Strong systematic thinking, leadership engagement and willingness to travel domestically.
• Fluent English communication skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing).
