Safety Engineer

About the role

The Plant Safety Engineer will support and continuously improve the safety, health, and environmental (SHE) management systems across our manufacturing sites. The role ensures compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, local regulations and company standards while fostering a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Monitor environmental and occupational safety regulations and coordinate compliance actions.
• Manage environmental monitoring, regulatory reporting, and waste, air‑emission, and wastewater matters.
• Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments, and Management of Change reviews.
• Perform SHE inspections, audits and follow‑up corrective actions.
• Oversee contractor safety documentation and on‑site activities.
• Lead or participate in incident and near‑miss investigations and track preventive actions.
• Develop and deliver SHE training for employees and contractors.
• Support emergency response planning, drills and sub‑committee meetings.
• Prepare SHE management reports and regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with corporate, division and site teams to provide cross‑site SHE support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety & Health, Industrial Safety, Environmental Science or related field.
• Relevant SHE professional certifications or willingness to obtain them.
• Minimum three years of experience in SHE, EHS, environmental engineering or occupational safety, preferably in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations, occupational safety requirements and workplace risk management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in Mandarin; working‑level English reading and writing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to support other facilities within Taiwan when required.
