Principal, Business Analyst (Retail)

About the role

Coupang is one of the world's fastest-growing e-commerce platforms, and in Taiwan it is expanding its retail business around selection, pricing and customer experience. As a Retail Business Analyst, you will drive data-driven decision-making across Coupang Taiwan's retail organization, partnering with Merchandising, Pricing, Supply Chain and Operations teams to analyze performance, find growth opportunities and optimize business outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze retail KPIs such as sales, margin, inventory turns and customer behavior, and build dashboards and reports to track daily, weekly and monthly performance
• Support pricing strategy through competitive benchmarking and elasticity analysis, and evaluate promotional effectiveness and ROI
• Analyze inventory health, demand forecasting accuracy and replenishment efficiency, and help mitigate stockouts and overstock
• Support strategic initiatives such as new category launches, vendor performance analysis and market expansion, and develop business cases for leadership
• Work with Merchants, Operations, Finance and Tech teams to turn business requirements into data solutions and share insights with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in business analytics, consulting, e-commerce or retail
• Experience with large datasets and building dashboards
• Preferred: e-commerce or fast-paced retail experience, pricing, merchandising or supply chain analytics exposure, strong English communication, and comfort in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
