Operations Manager

About the role

BioLegend is seeking an Operations Manager to lead manufacturing teams, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and drive performance improvements across the department.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all departments and employees adhere to company policies, procedures, environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Oversee manufacturing teams, enforce compliance, and take immediate corrective actions such as pipetting calibrations and safety training.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to direct reports and department members.
• Develop, monitor, and report key performance indicators, implementing countermeasures to meet long‑term goals.
• Create and execute plans and projects that align with performance goals, budgets, and business strategy.
• Collaborate regularly with leaders of other manufacturing groups, quality control, quality assurance, and product development to meet company objectives and customer needs.
• Handle additional projects or responsibilities as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a biology‑related field (minimum).
• More than 5 years of relevant biotechnology work experience.
• At least 3 years of leadership experience.
• Preferred: PhD or Master’s degree in a biology‑related field.
• Preferred: Working knowledge of equipment and processes used in protein purification and conjugation.
• Preferred: Over 3 years of experience with GMP and ISO13485 regulations and quality management systems.
• Preferred: Familiarity with ERP systems.
