MMTN AMHS Engineer

About the role

Micron Technology is hiring an AMHS (Automated Material Handling System) engineer in Tainan. As a shift engineer, you partner with IT support to resolve issues affecting production, monitor AMHS performance and drive equipment benchmarks so that fab quality, cycle time, yield and cost are met.

Key responsibilities

• Solve issues affecting Micron production activities together with IT support
• Monitor AMHS and equipment benchmarks proactively and address issues in a timely manner
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, troubleshooting and repairing equipment with mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills
• Assist with AMHS and tool installation, relocation and upgrades
• Support AMHS equipment and vendors on long-term down equipment and chronic process issues
• Improve tool uptime through quality workmanship and detailed problem solving
• Record maintenance in check sheets and review them regularly
• Keep the Lead Engineer/Manager informed on AMHS issues and long-term down status
• Follow safety and environmental procedures, report EHSS concerns and reduce incidents through Job Hazard Analysis
• Take initiative on added responsibilities, set up maintenance guidelines, improve the repair system and manage machine-part costs
• Assist with in-house training, OHT tests and STB removal/reinstallation for new tools

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience with AMHS or similar systems
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment and flexibility to work various shifts
• Strong English; another language is an advantage
