About the role

The HSE Business Partner for Taiwan is a trusted partner to Maersk's operations, bringing professional HSE expertise to work closely with leaders and frontline teams. The role manages risks, strengthens compliance and improves how work is done across multiple operational sites, turning global HSE standards into practical local solutions. It suits someone with a solid HSE foundation who wants to move toward broader business partnering and HSE leadership.

Key responsibilities

  • Advise site managers on risk management, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement, helping them take ownership of HSE performance.
  • Partner with site managers, safety champions and frontline teams to identify risks and apply the hierarchy of controls across workplace, equipment and operational design.
  • Support compliance with Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health regulations and APMM global HSE standards, and close gaps with improvement actions.
  • Work with Operations, HR, Procurement and others to strengthen HSE management, contractor safety and operational risk controls.
  • Support incident and high-potential incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Coach site managers and safety champions through training, management reviews and HSE Committee activities.
  • Provide guidance on emergency preparedness, environmental management, site inspections and risk assessments, and give HSE input for new projects, facilities and operational changes.

Required profile

  • 5+ years of progressive HSE/EHS experience in manufacturing, engineering, logistics, warehousing, supply chain or similar industries; high-potential candidates with slightly less experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience advising operational leaders and working across multiple sites or functions.
  • Solid experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, operational change and HSE management systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Environmental Management, Risk Management or a related field preferred.
  • Taiwan Class A Occupational Safety and Health qualification highly preferred; Class B or other relevant OSH qualifications welcome.
  • Logistics/supply chain experience or NEBOSH or IOSH qualifications are an advantage.

Required skills

  • Strong understanding of Taiwan OSH regulations, risk management and management systems.
  • Business partnering and collaboration skills, with the confidence to coach and influence operational leaders.
  • Analytical, problem-solving and judgment skills, using HSE data to support risk-based decisions.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple locations and communicate in good Chinese and English.
