ASIC Process Engineer

About the role

Bosch Sensortec, part of Bosch Group, is hiring an ASIC Process Engineer in Taipei. The role covers ASIC qualification, yield improvement during engineering and ramp-up phases, and takes ownership of the chip in mass production, including yield monitoring and cost reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal R&D and external subcontractors to improve product robustness for manufacturability.
• Own the ASIC in mass production, including yield monitoring and improvement and cost-down activities.
• Perform electrical and physical failure analysis to understand failure mechanisms.
• Analyze data to find the root cause of excursions and issues.
• Manage suppliers, focusing on qualification and failure analysis for the house, wafer foundry and wafer test OSATs.

Required profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Device Physics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 4-6 years of experience in semiconductor foundry or fabless IC design as Product Engineering.
• Willingness to work in international teams, with written and spoken English.
• Self-motivated, good communication skills, team spirit, and ability to manage projects and subcontractors independently.

Required skills

• Good understanding of CMOS fab processes (logic and mixed-signal).
• Data mining and correlation analysis of process and electrical test parameters.
• IC failure analysis and fault localization techniques.
• Knowledge of ASIC test and final test, and of mixed-signal circuit design, highly preferred.
• Package assembly knowledge is a plus.
