Facilities Engineer

About the role

CBRE is seeking a Facilities Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems across its portfolio. The role involves ensuring plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, and fire‑life safety systems function efficiently and comply with all relevant codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, fire, and control systems.
• Ensure all building systems meet applicable standards, codes, and company safety directives.
• Maintain and improve an energy management program to maximize system efficiency.
• Assist in developing and executing a preventive maintenance schedule to extend equipment life.
• Conduct inspections of fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to verify proper operation and environmental conditions.
• Handle hazardous materials safely, following storage, usage, and disposal policies.
• Coach and share knowledge with team members, promoting best practices and CBRE’s RISE values.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4‑5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Universal CFC certification preferred; other certifications/licenses as required by local/state regulations.
• Prior supervisory or shift‑management experience is a plus.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including stooping, standing, walking, and lifting.
