Customer Quality Engineer – Staff

About the role

As a Customer Quality Engineer at Qualcomm, you will serve as the primary liaison between the company and its data‑center customers, driving quality communications, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of hardware products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead conference calls and face‑to‑face meetings with customers on quality matters.
• Track and report customer quality metrics to both customers and internal management.
• Coordinate and participate in customer audits.
• Analyze technical details of issues, guide internal teams, and formulate customer‑focused responses.
• Interface onsite with customers, integrators, and partners to support problem solving.
• Prepare presentations covering containment, root‑cause analysis, risk assessment, corrective and preventive actions, and recovery plans.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to assess product risk, drive problem solving, and improve customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• 8+ years of hardware engineering experience (or equivalent combinations of education and experience).
• 4+ years of technical and business customer communication experience.
• 2+ years of experience working with suppliers to resolve issues.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership role, with or without direct reports.
