Business Planning & Analysis Manager

About the role

Amgen, a leading independent biotechnology company, is hiring a Business Planning and Analysis Manager in Taipei for its Japan and Asia Pacific region. The role sits in the Commercial Excellence team and acts as a key partner to the team and business units, contributing to business strategy and commercial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Market analysis and competitor intelligence: plan, design and run strategic market research programs, turn findings into recommendations, and share results with commercial leadership
• Strategic insights: synthesize internal and external data into actionable insights for decision-making
• Brand plans: support brand teams with data analytics for patient models, long-range plans and brand plans
• Business reviews: coordinate regular reviews with business units and give recommendations
• New product planning: lead analysis such as go-to-market strategies, competitive landscape and patient journey analysis, and support launch readiness and commercialization in Taiwan
• Capability building: implement new analytical tools and methods and train team members
• Cross-functional collaboration with country brand teams and regional teams on initiatives such as launch excellence and brand performance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above and 5 years of experience in pharma, consulting, market research or business analysis; sales force effectiveness or product management experience is a plus
• Fluent English, oral and written
• Strong analytical and project management skills, able to turn unstructured issues into action plans
• Track record of leading projects, managing priorities and meeting deadlines
• Team player and self-starter able to work autonomously

Required skills

• Data, analytics, research and dashboarding/reporting
• Microsoft Office and remote working tools
• Preferred: broad experience across market research designs and participant types, and clear presentation of research findings
