WiFi Software Engineer – Hsinchu/Taipei

About the role

The WiFi Software Engineer will participate in the design and development of Wi‑Fi software and firmware for enterprise access points, embedded clients and other wireless technologies. The role covers the full IC lifecycle from specification to customer support.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and test Wi‑Fi firmware features (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
• Perform pre‑silicon validation, chip bring‑up, and low‑level silicon validation.
• Develop and maintain Wi‑Fi drivers for Linux, Android and Windows platforms.
• Support customers remotely or onsite, handling troubleshooting and integration issues.

Required profile

• MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Strong embedded software development, integration, testing and troubleshooting skills.
• Team player with excellent communication and writing abilities.
• Independent, self‑motivated and eager to learn.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C programming language.
• Experience with Linux, Android or Windows Wi‑Fi driver development.
• Knowledge of real‑time operating systems such as FreeRTOS or ThreadX.
• Familiarity with ARM assembly language.
• Understanding of PCIe, USB and SDIO bus interfaces.
• Knowledge of Wi‑Fi standards (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax).
