Bluetooth Software Engineer – Senior / Principal

About the role

Join NXP's Connectivity & Security business line to design, implement, integrate, validate and maintain Bluetooth/BLE/802.15.4 products for IoT and automotive markets. You will lead complex feature integrations, SoC bring‑up and provide technical issue resolution, working closely with offshore teams and tier‑1 customers.

Key responsibilities

• Accompany design, implementation, integration, validation and maintenance phases for standard and non‑standard Bluetooth/BLE/802.15.4 products.
• Lead or participate in complex feature integrations, Bluetooth/BLE/802.15.4 SoC bring‑up, and technical issue solving.
• Collaborate with offshore teams across locations and support tier‑1 customers on‑site as needed.

Required profile

• MS in EE, CE, or CS with relevant experience (4+ years for Senior, 8+ years for Principal).
• Strong embedded software development, integration, testing and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing abilities; independent and self‑motivated.

Required skills

• Proficient in C programming.
• Knowledge of Bluetooth, BLE, 802.15.4 stacks or controllers.
• Experience with Linux, Android, Windows Wi‑Fi driver programming (plus).
• Familiarity with real‑time OS such as FreeRTOS or ThreadX (plus).
• Understanding of ARM assembly, UART, PCIe, USB, SDIO, I2C, PCM, I2S interfaces (plus).
• Debugging using HCI/BT sniffer, scope, logic analyzer (plus).
