WiFi Software Engineer (Various Levels)

About the role

NXP is looking for talented software engineers to join its Connectivity & Security business line in Hsinchu/Taipei. The role involves designing and developing Wi‑Fi software and firmware for enterprise access points, embedded clients and other wireless technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full IC lifecycle: specification design, pre‑silicon validation, chip bring‑up, software development and customer support.
• Research, design and implement cutting‑edge Wi‑Fi features compliant with IEEE/WFA specifications.

Required profile

• MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Strong embedded software development, integration, testing and troubleshooting skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C programming.
• Experience with Linux, Android or Windows Wi‑Fi driver development (plus).
• Knowledge of real‑time operating systems such as FreeRTOS or ThreadX (plus).
• Familiarity with ARM assembly language (plus).
• Understanding of PCIe, USB and SDIO bus interfaces (plus).
• Experience with Wi‑Fi standards (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and silicon bring‑up/validation (plus).
