VP – Finance

About the role

HSBC is seeking a Vice President of Finance to act as the Accounting Officer, responsible for the accurate and timely production of financial and tax reports and for overseeing day‑to‑day finance operations across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close activities, delivering precise management and financial reporting and ensuring timely tax filings.
• Maintain and strengthen financial controls and governance, guaranteeing compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Support internal and external audits, manage remediation actions, and provide ad‑hoc analysis for strategic projects.
• Oversee the preparation of key financial statements as an authorised signatory.
• Collaborate with tax, treasury, and investor‑relations teams to align reporting and compliance efforts.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in financial services or the securities sector.
• Licensed Senior Securities Specialist with a mandatory Senior Securities Specialist licence.
• Successful completion of the Capital Adequacy Ratio Examination (available after onboarding).
• Strong familiarity with securities finance operations and related regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
