Assistant Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to support all finance and accounting activities for Coface in Taiwan. The role involves handling day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations and supporting the regional finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end accounts payable and receivable cycles, ensuring timely processing and accuracy.
• Perform bank, intercompany and tax reconciliations and support month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Assist with IFRS 17 post‑implementation reporting and alignment with actuarial inputs.
• Handle local tax compliance (VAT, withholding tax) and liaise with auditors and tax authorities.
• Support the E‑procurement process, including vendor onboarding, purchase order creation and invoice matching.
• Prepare documentation for regulatory filings and ensure adherence to Taiwan’s financial regulations.
• Collaborate with regional and global finance teams to ensure consistent accounting practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Native‑level Mandarin and conversational English.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as SAP, Concur and SAGE.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Familiarity with E‑procurement systems.
