Technology Risk Management Manager

About the role

Prudential is looking for a Technology Risk Management Manager in Taipei to build and run its PCALT Information and Technology Risk Management framework. The role works closely with the non-financial (operational) risk team and reports IT risk to the Risk Committee.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the formation of the PCALT Technology Risk Management framework and its successful rollout and implementation.
• Provide technical and best-practice guidance on information and technology risk, accounting for platform and regional complexities.
• Support the risk management function in reporting IT risk periodically to the Risk Committee.
• Work with the operational risk team to manage information and technology risk.
• Establish the information and technology risk appetite and key risk metrics for management oversight.
• Monitor the PCALT risk register, escalate potential risks for Group-level reporting, and review risk ratings, treatment plans and target dates with the operational risk team.
• Promote a risk culture among stakeholders in managing IT risk.

Required profile

• 8+ years of practical experience in technology and/or IT governance, IT service management or IT risk; risk management or audit experience is a plus, as is corporate experience in the financial industry.
• A degree in Technology, MIS or Information Management, plus appropriate certification or other relevant technical certifications (e.g. ITIL, ISO 20000, CGEIT, CRISC, cloud, cybersecurity).
• Familiarity with financial/insurance regulations and good internal control and compliance practice.
• Teamwork, communication, project planning, analytical thinking and prioritisation.
• Intermediate English (listening, speaking, reading, writing) and good Chinese; English CV required alongside the Chinese CV.

• Programming background or data analysis skills.
• Industry network to stay up to date with IT developments.
