Head of AI & Data - Strategy, Governance & Transformation

About the role

Prudential Corporate & Asset Management Technology (PCALT) is accelerating the adoption of AI, analytics and data capabilities across its ecosystem. The Head of AI & Data Strategy, Governance & Transformation leads the Data & AI function, reporting to the Chief Data & AI Officer, and shapes the AI and data strategy, drives enterprise-wide transformation, sets up governance and responsible AI practices, and works with business, technology, risk, compliance and Group stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the AI & Data strategy and multi-year transformation roadmap, and support the Chief Data & AI Officer in defining the overall vision
• Identify opportunities for AI, generative AI, analytics and data, and build business cases and investment proposals
• Establish AI governance and responsible AI frameworks, policies and standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and working with Risk, Compliance, Legal and Information Security
• Drive data governance, including data quality, metadata, data lineage and master data management
• Oversee the enterprise AI & Data transformation portfolio, managing dependencies, risks and milestones
• Engage business leaders, promote adoption through change management, and monitor AI, data privacy and technology risk regulations
• Lead and develop a high-performing team and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline
• 10+ years of experience in AI, data, analytics, technology, strategy or transformation leadership
• Experience leading mixed teams of engineers and business employees
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing enterprise AI and data strategies
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as insurance or finance
