AI & Data Solutions Architect

About the role

Prudential Taiwan is accelerating the adoption of AI, Generative AI, analytics and data capabilities. The AI & Data Solutions Architect is the lead technical authority within the PCALT Data & AI function, reporting to the Head of Strategic Focus, Governance & Platform. The role defines architecture standards and reusable patterns, leads technical design for strategic initiatives and provides assurance from discovery through production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture and technical design for AI, Generative AI, analytics and data solutions, and develop reference architectures, patterns and documentation.
• Design enterprise solutions using machine learning, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation and agentic AI, including model selection, vector databases and prompt management.
• Define data sourcing, ingestion, transformation, storage and integration requirements, and partner with Data Foundation and Technology teams on data products, APIs and platform services.
• Shape the AI and Data platform roadmap and establish standards for AI SDLC, MLOps, LLMOps, testing, deployment and observability.
• Guide AI engineers, data scientists and delivery partners, run design reviews and promote reusable components and automation.
• Embed security, privacy, risk and Responsible AI requirements early, working with Governance, Risk, Compliance, Legal and Information Security teams.
• Run discovery workshops, assess use cases and act as technical advisor to the Chief Data & AI Officer.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, AI engineering, data architecture or software engineering.
• Proven experience delivering enterprise AI, generative AI, machine learning or data solutions from concept to production.
• Experience in insurance, financial services or another regulated industry, including Taiwan requirements, is advantageous.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, vector search, model APIs, cloud-native integration and modern data architecture.
• Working knowledge of MLOps, LLMOps, model evaluation, monitoring, cybersecurity, privacy and Responsible AI.
• Preferred: Microsoft Azure, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Databricks, MLflow and relevant AI frameworks.
