Technical Trainer

About the role

The Technical Trainer will deliver hands‑on technical training, competency assessments and examinations at both training centres and customer sites. You will ensure training facilities, equipment and materials are prepared for effective delivery and maintain accurate records in the Learning Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct instructor‑led training using approved course content to develop product and functional competencies.
• Prepare and maintain training equipment, facilities and materials.
• Demonstrate safe maintenance practices in line with technical manuals, SOPs and safety standards.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and perform workplace competency assessments.
• Coach managers and team leaders on performance assessments and support apprenticeship programs.
• Contribute subject‑matter expertise to course development and continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate attendance and training records in the LMS.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as a Field/Onsite Service Engineer or in a field‑service environment.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and native language.
• Formal engineering or technical qualification (UK Level 2‑3 Apprenticeship or global equivalent) – highly desirable.
• Previous classroom or workplace training delivery experience – advantageous.
• Recognised Learning & Development or instructional qualification – advantageous.
