Software & DevOps Engineer – Cloud Native Platforms

About the role

TSMC IT is looking for a Software & DevOps Engineer to design, build, and scale next‑generation intelligent manufacturing platforms. You will work on cloud‑native microservices, collaborate with SRE and operations teams, and help drive technology adoption across the fab ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud‑native microservice architectures.
• Refactor existing monolithic applications into cloud‑native solutions.
• Partner with the SRE team to define and monitor Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
• Architect monitoring and alerting systems to proactively detect production issues.
• Automate service maintenance and operational workflows.
• Manage project tasks and product release cycles.
• Promote high‑quality software development and robust deployment processes.
• Evaluate and drive adoption of emerging IT technologies.

Required profile

• Professional experience with languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, F#, C#, Python, or Rust.
• Familiarity with functional programming, object‑oriented programming, and modern software paradigms.
• Experience with DevOps quality‑control processes, artifact management, and CI/CD toolchains.
• Hands‑on experience with containerization and cloud‑native tools like Kubernetes, Istio, ArgoCD, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Full‑stack web application development experience, especially for large‑scale systems.
• Ability to evaluate and adopt new technologies quickly.
• Self‑motivated, critical thinker and strong team player.
