SoC Power Architect – Pixel Power

About the role

Google’s Pixel team is seeking a SoC Power Architect to help shape the next generation of custom silicon that powers its consumer devices. You will work on cutting‑edge hardware and software integration, delivering high‑performance, power‑efficient solutions for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical and market analysis of System‑on‑Chip (SoC) architectures, performance, features and cost.
• Lead tear‑down and benchmark activities to collect detailed intelligence on competitor products.
• Produce and maintain intelligence reports, market landscapes, product road‑maps and feature comparisons.
• Collaborate with engineering, marketing and business teams to support product planning and go‑to‑market strategies.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies and competitor moves, providing actionable insights.
• Use data‑analysis tools to reconcile datasets and deliver clear recommendations.
• Maintain internal databases and repositories of technical information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in SoC software, architecture or hardware validation for mobile, IoT or consumer electronics.
• Experience automating data collection, analysis and reporting with scripting languages.
• Familiarity with lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, electronic loads and network analyzers.
• Understanding of operating systems (Android, iOS, Linux) and their interaction with SoC hardware for memory, power and scheduling management.
