Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – IT

About the role

TSMC is seeking a motivated Site Reliability Engineer to join its IT team. You will work on both staging and production systems, collaborating with multiple technical groups to ensure high‑availability and performance of critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new, state‑of‑the‑art applications and continuously refactor existing code.
• Automate repeatable tasks by building robust tooling.
• Write and maintain automated tests to guarantee software quality.
• Apply software design principles to sustain performance and reliability.
• Participate in design and code reviews with peers.
• Support on‑call duties, incident troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and post‑mortems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of experience supporting scalable service environments.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to think creatively.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures and enterprise architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with incident response, production outage mitigation and failure‑story sharing.

Required skills

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages or tools: Python, Go, JavaScript, Ansible, Terraform.
• Deep knowledge of Linux system administration.
• Expertise in Kubernetes architecture and administration.
• Familiarity with cloud‑native, distributed system design and DevOps practices.
