Senior Manager, Logistics Real Estate Development and Investment

About the role

Coupang is expanding in Taiwan and is looking for a Senior Manager of Logistics Real Estate Development and Investment. The role heads the development of fulfillment center real estate expansion, capital allocation and heavy asset strategies, setting the macroeconomic and operational real estate vision, shaping the multi-year asset pipeline and overseeing the full lifecycle of large logistics and fulfillment facilities, from land banking and investment underwriting through entitlements, structuring, design, construction and stabilization. It also acts as a primary executive sponsor, aligning regional leadership, operations, finance, legal and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and execute the long-term real estate master plan and multi-year capital expenditure pipeline, integrating network capacity with business growth and supply chain goals.
• Lead major investment proposals, steering committee defenses and business cases, working with global Finance, Treasury and Tax on investment structures, returns and asset ownership.
• Direct site selection, land banking and complex commercial transactions, including joint ventures, build-to-suit and forward-funding deals.
• Manage high-level government relations and zoning, environmental, traffic and municipal approvals.
• Integrate automation, sustainable building and cold-chain logistics technologies into facility designs.
• Set contracting standards and resolve high-value disputes with developers, contractors and consultants.
• Mentor and scale a multidisciplinary real estate team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Urban Planning, Finance or a related field.
• About 12 years of progressive experience in logistics, industrial, commercial or large-scale real estate development at a leadership level.
• Proven experience leading full-cycle developments or a regional portfolio of large industrial/logistics facilities.
• Ability to negotiate with C-level executives, institutional investors, board members and senior government bodies.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and English.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in e-commerce, global logistics, retail, tier-1 industrial developers or institutional real estate private equity.
• Experience delivering highly automated fulfillment centers, multi-story distribution hubs or cold-chain infrastructure.
• Advanced degree (Master's, MBA) or accreditations such as RICS, AIA or PMP.
