About the role
Within the Hand Tools & Storage division of Stanley Black & Decker, a Senior Lab Technician is sought for the Global Test Lab in Taichung. The role involves designing and verifying unique testing equipment used to qualify hand tool products and analysing their performance.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect and verify that machines meet their original specifications and functions once assembly is complete or they arrive at the site
- Prepare machine operation standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Understand mechanical structures and the principles of hydraulic, pneumatic and other automation components
- Work with design engineers on special-purpose machine development projects
Required profile
- High school diploma
- Good mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in traditional machine operation (lathes, milling machines); 5 years preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in special-purpose machine development or maintenance
- Basic English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills
Required skills
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Proficiency in 2D/3D design software for machine design and development
