Senior Field Readiness Engineer

About the role

The Field Product Readiness Engineer IV leads service product readiness for complex semiconductor equipment across Etch, MDP, or DDP lines. You will coordinate field, SBU, BU, GPS, and customer inputs to improve serviceability and ensure smooth transitions from early readiness to high‑volume manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead readiness validation for new modules, multi‑site streams and complex products, covering documentation, tooling, training, spare strategy and AIx readiness.
• Drive closure of cross‑functional gaps, provide field‑grounded technical recommendations and capture lessons learned for knowledge transfer.
• Validate and improve CE tooling, install procedures, PM/CM processes and feed structured feedback to product teams.
• Develop out‑of‑control action plans, use FMECA and control plans to drive systemic fixes.
• Plan and execute field sprints, manage backlog, track KPIs such as MTBF, defect rate and risk resolution.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years hands‑on experience with Etch, MDP‑Metal Deposition or DDP‑Dielectric Deposition products.
• Strong system‑level understanding of equipment and fab operations, with proven ability to translate field findings into actionable improvements.
• Project‑management discipline including sprint execution, backlog management and KPI tracking.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, materials, chemical, industrial, automation engineering or related field.
