About the role
Vishay General Semiconductor Taiwan Ltd is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead procurement activities for its diode and rectifier product lines. The role focuses on managing subcontractor and foundry relationships, ensuring cost‑effective sourcing, and supporting the company’s growth in the semiconductor market.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and execute subcontractor/foundry sourcing strategies.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new subcontractors.
- Create loading plans and secure capacity with subcontractors.
- Negotiate pricing and contractual terms with subcontractors and foundries.
- Review cost structures, pricing formulas, and verify costs.
- Conduct semi‑annual reviews of yield, EX rate, and LME, updating the PIR as needed.
- Drive annual price negotiations to achieve cost‑reduction targets.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Minimum three years of purchasing experience in electronics or semiconductor manufacturing.
- Strong computer proficiency and effective English communication.
- Ability to work independently, accurately, and with patience on complex assignments.
