Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (Taiwan)

About the role

Instrumental is looking for a senior forward deployed engineer to lead and service strategic customer programs across Taiwan, working directly with customers and contract manufacturers to integrate and optimize AI‑powered manufacturing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end program delivery for strategic accounts, deploying hardware/software on‑site and hand‑tuning algorithms to accelerate customer value.
• Build relationships with factory stakeholders, establishing trust and paving the way for broader adoption of Instrumental solutions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams across time zones, acting as the central communication hub between engineering, product, and customer teams.
• Leverage Instrumental’s software to identify performance improvements, whether through physical tweaks, training data, or test replication.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing engineering or operations, with deep knowledge of factory environments, processes, and politics.
• Proven track record of mission ownership and successful delivery under challenging circumstances.
• Preference for on‑site work on factory floors, with regular travel to multiple sites, including evenings and weekends.
• Strong relationship‑building skills, comfortable representing the company and engaging senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and spoken Mandarin and English communication abilities.
