Senior Advanced Quality Engineer

About the role

Coolit Systems is seeking a Senior Advanced Quality Engineer to lead quality planning across New Product Introduction (NPI) phases, ensuring robust design and manufacturing processes from concept through launch. You will partner with cross‑functional teams to embed design‑for‑quality principles and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Drive APQP deliverables including DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Validation, and coordinate PPAP execution.
• Conduct design reviews of CAD models, specifications, and engineering change notices to identify and mitigate quality risks.
• Develop and maintain Quality Control Plans, defining process controls and inspection methods.
• Collect and analyze quality and process data using statistical tools to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Lead root‑cause analysis (8D) and implement preventive actions, facilitating Lean and Six Sigma improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead role.
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and electromechanical systems.
• Experience with ISO 9001 internal auditing and APQP tools.

Required skills

• APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA.
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher).
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) – preferred.
• Statistical analysis and root‑cause problem‑solving (8D).
