Sales Executive – Merchant Services

About the role

We are looking for a Sales Executive to drive new merchant acquisition and revenue growth for Global Payments’ merchant services across assigned territories. You will work directly with businesses to understand their payment needs and propose tailored solutions, helping shape the future of global commerce.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, qualify and generate sales opportunities through face‑to‑face meetings, networking, referrals, telephone outreach and marketing initiatives.
• Deliver consultative sales presentations, assess client needs and recommend appropriate payment solutions.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospect identification to account sign‑up, activation and onboarding.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, identifying cross‑selling and upselling opportunities.
• Maintain accurate customer information, sales activities and pipeline data in the CRM system.
• Prepare regular sales forecasts, activity reports and updates for management.
• Stay informed of industry developments, emerging payment technologies, competitor activities and market trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in financial services, payments or a related industry.
• Proven ability to generate leads, develop opportunities and achieve sales targets.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Self‑motivated, results‑oriented and comfortable working independently in a field‑sales environment.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce.
