Project/Program Management Specialist - Foundry Process Technology

About the role

Renesas Electronics, a global semiconductor company, is looking for a project/program management specialist within its Operations Engineering Division. The role supports the enablement of new front-end process technologies at external and internal foundries, covering HV/BCD and wide bandgap technologies for power applications, as well as mixed-signal and RF processes. It requires project management experience and knowledge of foundry technologies, semiconductor production processes and their interaction with product design.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi-site project teams globally in enabling front-end wafer process technologies.
• Be fully responsible for the project and the main contact for all internal teams.
• Develop, maintain and execute the project plan for new technology enablement.
• Drive project members and contributors to meet critical milestones and customer commitments.
• Track and drive actions for external partners and suppliers (foundries and other vendors).
• Identify key program risks and define mitigation actions.
• Track and report progress to key stakeholders, including external customers.

Required profile

• Masters or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, materials science or a related technical field.
• Prior project management experience or training (e.g. PMP, Prince2).
• 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in a foundry or fab.
• Fluency in English, Japanese and Mandarin; strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Highly desirable

• Process integration engineer experience in a semiconductor HVM or R&D environment.
• Hands-on experience with process development, technology transfer and yield ramp.
• Solid fundamentals in unit processes (litho, etch, cleans, CMP, etc.).
• Familiarity with GaN technologies, process flows and tools.
