Production Test Technician 3

About the role

As a Production Test Technician you will set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot circuits, components, and mechanical assemblies of advanced semiconductor wafer fabrication equipment. You will develop test specifications and procedures to ensure precision to design specifications and customer needs while providing technical reports that support high‑quality production processes.

Key responsibilities

• Use hand tools, test equipment, and fixtures to install components and test wafer fabrication equipment across multiple product types.
• Access and update Configuration Editor settings by utilizing sales order/Bill of Materials (BOM) in SAP.
• Measure resistance, continuity, and voltage using appropriate test equipment.
• Set up specialized equipment, perform leak checks with suitable procedures, and verify completion.
• Identify and document Non‑Conformance Items (NCIs), coordinate improvements, and escalate issues as needed.
• Report and review tool status, accessing information through SAP commands.
• Support a safe work environment by following safety guidelines, using PPE, and adhering to Lockout Tagout (LOTO) policies.
• Communicate production status, completed tasks, and improvement ideas clearly to stakeholders and during shift handovers.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in the semiconductor capital equipment industry or a comparable manufacturing environment.
• Technical training (Associate’s degree, technical certificate, diploma, or equivalent military experience) focused on electronics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour shifts in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive setting.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency with computer‑based data systems, applications, and Microsoft Office.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, reach, walk, sit, twist, squat, kneel, climb, and stand while handling equipment up to 35 lb.
• Capability to distinguish wires by color, size, thickness, and markings.
