Product Engineer, Water Filtration (P&F)

About the role

Solventum, formerly 3M Health Care, is hiring a Product Engineer for its Separation and Purification Sciences (SPSD) Water Business Unit in Taoyuan, Taiwan. The team runs new product and product redesign programmes for water filtration solutions, which are growing in demand and face increasingly complex regulations. The role works on cross-functional teams across several product families.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee change management for product design changes driven by product and quality improvements, supply changes, regulatory requirements and cost reduction.
• Work on high-impact, cross-functional teams covering multiple product families.
• Drive continuous improvement using methods such as project management (PMP), Agile, SCRUM, Six Sigma, PPU and DOE/statistical analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher, completed and verified before starting, preferably in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Strong English communication skills (about 90% fluency).
• Five years of experience in a private or public setting in product engineering, process engineering, project engineering, project management and/or research laboratory.
• Preferred: basic to medium Spanish, experience with water filtration, and experience in regulated product categories including product risk assessments, product safety, third-party testing and certification, and product reliability.
• Must be legally authorised to work in Taiwan without a work visa sponsorship.

Required skills

• Project management expertise: PMP, Agile, SCRUM, Six Sigma, PPU and/or DOE/statistical analysis.
• Water filtration product knowledge preferred.

Location: Taoyuan, Taiwan. On-site during the first year, then possibly hybrid. Travel may include up to 5% international. The company states it benchmarks pay and benefits against comparable companies.
